Director, Sales and Account Relationships

Full Time

Job Description 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide Expert Product Knowledge in support of Blue-Zone’s Sales Activities
  • Assist with initial site visits and recommend best Blue-Zone solutions
  • Develop Customer Training materials
  • Provide Customer in-service training for new installation sites.
  • Ongoing Customer Support to assure Successful Blue-Zone experience
  • Coordinate Quarterly Greenhouse Gas reporting to customers
  • Provide Customer Feedback to Engineering and Marketing for continuous improvements
  • Support Blue-Zone’s Trade show efforts with attendance as requested.
  • Interface with sales team to assure all needs are being met

Requirements:

  • Minimum University degree in science, nursing, or engineering
  • One year or more of sales or customer service experience
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or the health care industries is desirable
  • Ability to travel 25% or more
  • Impeccable customer service mentality
Quality Assurance Engineer

Full Time

Key Responsibilities / Job Functions:

  • Assist with development and administration of the Blue-Zone Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Compliant Program, including activities such as self-inspections, 3rd party audits, handling deviations / CAPAs, maintaining change control, review of executed production documentation, handling product returns / recalls and addressing customer complaints, as required.
  • Prepare, review, and implement quality records (standard operating procedures, manufacturing work orders, specifications, experimental reports, protocols, and validation documentation).
  • Ensure Quality Control of raw materials / intermediates / API through in-house Gas Chromatography, and pH testing.
  • Coordinate submission of samples and interface with external testing facilities
  • Provide technical engineering support and assist in continuous improvement / optimization of all Company’s products and processes
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation to Regulatory Agencies to support Company products / processes

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or college diploma in Engineering, Science, Technical discipline, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in an operational environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge and experience working with Quality Management Systems
  • Problem solver with the ability to analyze and prioritize to meet business objectives
  • Some knowledge on applicable standards required by Regulatory Agencies (Health Canada, Food and Drug Administration).
  • Experience with manufacturing best practice philosophies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Constraint Theory, Total Quality Management etc., considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of analytical equipment
  • Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of the functioning of a GMP operations and manufacturing plant
Plant Operator / Driver

Full Time

Key Responsibilities / Job Functions 

  • Execute production schedule to meet customer and company requirements.  
  • Maintain GMP and regulatory compliance for the manufacturing plant and operators. 
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment. 
  • Follow planned collection route to deliver and collect canisters. 
  • Be part of the manufacturing operations team responsible for production in a controlled current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment. 
  • Perform operations according to standard operating procedures and batch records, and record production data and information in a clear, concise, format according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP). 
  • Perform tasks on time in a manner consistent with the safety policies, quality systems and GMP requirements. 
  • Work in a team based, cross-functional environment to complete production tasks required by shift schedule. 
  • Aid in the development of manufacturing processes including appropriate documentation. 
  • Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing operations leveraging own observation as well as input of team members. 

Requirements / Qualifications: 

  • A High School diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience in manufacturing, maintenance, quality, testing, or engineering areas is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred. 
  • A valid Class G driver’s license, with three (3) years clean driving history.  
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and to stand for a long period of time are required. 
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required. 
  • Availability to work in a day shift (1st or 2nd shift) is required. 
  • Ability to accommodate changes in the schedule including working in other shifts as per operational needs is required.
